The Importance of Taking a Rainy Day Break

Hey there, fellow chicken keepers! Crissy O here, and today I want to talk about the importance of taking a break from your farm chores, especially on a rainy day.

We all know that life on a farmstead, homestead or whatever you call it can be hectic. There's always something to do, whether it's feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, or tending to the garden. But sometimes, it's important to take a step back and recharge.

Rainy days are the perfect time to do just that. Instead of spending your day inside, worrying about all the things you could be doing outside, why not take some time for yourself?

Here are a few ideas for how to spend a rainy day break:

  • Read a good book. There's nothing like curling up with a good book on a rainy day.
  • Take a hot bath. A hot bath is a great way to relax and de-stress.
  • Get some exercise. Even if it's just a walk around the house, getting some exercise is a great way to boost your mood.
  • Spend time with your family and friends. Rainy days are the perfect time to catch up with loved ones.
  • Do something creative. Whether it's painting, writing, or playing music, doing something creative can be a great way to relax and de-stress.

Of course, if you have bougie chickens, you'll want to make sure they're taken care of before you take a break. But once you know they're comfortable, there's no reason why you can't enjoy a rainy day break.

Taking breaks is important for everyone, but it's especially important for those of us who work with animals. Animals can be a lot of work, and it's easy to get burned out. Taking a break will help you to avoid burnout and keep you happy and healthy.

So next time it rains, don't stress about all the things you could be doing outside. Instead, take some time for yourself and enjoy the break. You deserve it! While you're taking a break go watch our youtube videos and enjoy all the fun things we fluffing do on the farmstead. We work ya'll watch it. Link here: https://www.youtube.com/@CrissyOShow
