Ducky Dynasty: Our Flock Finds Their Forever Home!

Duck Dynasty: Our Flock Finds Their Forever Home

After weeks of careful consideration, we finally took the plunge and created a dedicated duck paradise in our backyard. Our feathered friends, once happily coexisting with their quail companions, now have their own private oasis complete with a sparkling pool. While the decision to separate them wasn't easy, it's proven to be the best choice for both flocks.

Our ducks have always been the life of the party, but their energetic and messy nature was starting to clash with the quieter, more delicate quail. We noticed increased stress levels among the quail, and our ducks, while adorable, were beginning to wreak havoc on the shared living space. It was clear that something had to change.

Creating a duck-exclusive haven was a labor of love. We built a spacious enclosure, filled it with lush greenery, and of course, installed a refreshing pool. From the moment they stepped into their new home, it was clear we had made the right decision. Our ducks are happier, healthier, and more active than ever before. They spend their days splashing, exploring, and quacking with joy.

Meanwhile, our quail have flourished in their quieter surroundings. They're laying more eggs, and their feathers are looking shinier than ever. It's as if a weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Plus the ducks were not as friendly towards the quail and took to pinching them and tossing them around at times.

While we miss seeing all our feathered friends together, the benefits of this separation are undeniable. Both flocks are thriving, and we're enjoying watching them flourish in their respective environments. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved.

We're excited to share more about our duck's new life and the process of creating their perfect home on our vlogs located on our youtube channel the link is here to watch and subscribe: https://youtu.be/efWc3mEGTTc?si=ck0m7wOsXBdPfWFp

The quail are happy, the ducks are happy and the roosters are making eyes through the fenced yards at the new ducks so I guess they're happy too!  Let us know if you like separating your flocks or if you like for them to live together with your set up.

Stay tuned for more updates on our feathered family!
